Who we are.

The best of both worlds.

When we say we offer “the best of both worlds,” it’s not just because a German and an English native speaker collaborate on nearly every project. It’s also because we have access to more hours in our workday than others do.

Wondering how? By the time Fran has spent her morning happily creating, translating and editing texts in Augsburg, Germany, the sun has only just peeked over the horizon in Montreal, Canada, where Martha is based.

At around 3 p.m. Augsburg time, we have our first conference call to fine-tune details, brainstorm slogans and taglines and generally inspire each other. It’s only then that Martha’s workday—on the Canadian side—fully gets going. Our busy agency clients seem to never have enough hours in their workdays, so they often find our “best of both worlds” situation a real plus.

We defy the space-time continuum.

Dr. phil. Franziska Mosthaf …

… a native German speaker, was captivated at an early age by the expressive power of the English language. This led her to study English at universities in England, Germany and the US—and to earn a PhD in English Literature, too. She also studied Business Administration, worked as a freelance journalist and found her niche in the world of marketing. In recent years, she has gained extensive expertise and an additional qualification in sustainability communication. The Wortschleife is where she gets to bring it all together: her love of language, linguistic clarity and marketing—in both English and German. What does she like best? Inspiring clients with flawless text and great service.

Martha Randy …

… has spent her whole life in awe of words—how they sound, where they come from, how they roll off the tongue, and how they can best be used to convey a message. It’s fair to say that when it comes to crafting exquisite English, she’s simply doing what comes naturally. A native English speaker from New York State, she’s both a Germanophile and a Francophile by experience and qualification, and has lived, studied and worked on both sides of the Atlantic. While she can feel at home most anywhere, she’s chosen to put down roots on the shores of the St. Lawrence River in Montreal, Canada, and loves the opportunity to work across space and time to create exquisite copy.
