For several years now, we’ve been supporting Munich-based sustainability consultancy akzente, together with its partner organizations fors.earth GmbH and sustainable AG. We provide English editorial and translation work for sustainability reports and texts, including for Helios, Evonik, Volkswagen, VEKA and others.

Task

The ICCA is the umbrella organization of worldwide chemical industry associations. It was the ICCA’s wish to present, in an English-language brochure, the great innovative potential of the chemical industry with regard to low-carbon technologies. The brochure creation was preceded by an elaborate process involving global workshops of relevant stakeholders from the industrial, political and research sectors. Five areas were identified in which the chemical industry can make a relevant contribution: industry and production, energy generation and storage, mobility and transport, food and agriculture, and construction and housing. For each topic, the most effective projects—from Japan to Brazil—were be presented. Under the leadership of Evonik and Munich-based sustainability consultancy akzente GmbH, we were commissioned to look after the English copywriting of the publication in close collaboration with the agency and the ICCA. One of the most interesting and challenging projects we have undertaken so far, this involved digging deep into the core issues of the chemical industry and presenting them in a way that could be easily followed by well-informed laypeople, politicians, etc.

We would like to thank our client akzente for the trust they placed in us with this challenging project as well as the productive and harmonious collaboration throughout.
